Cookie notice

Cookie notice · setupanalytics.com

This site sets no cookies on visitors who are not signed in to its admin area, and it does not load third-party analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking on any public page. The notice below documents what is actually loaded, why, and how to verify it.

What this site loads

SetupAnalytics is a static-leaning WordPress install behind nginx. On a public page, the only network requests it makes are to its own origin: HTML, CSS, fonts, images, and a small amount of JavaScript for atlas filters and copy-buttons. No third-party domains are contacted on a default page load.

Cookies set on visitors

None on public pages. The HTTP response carries no Set-Cookie header. You can verify this in your browser’s DevTools → Network tab → any document request → Response Headers, or with curl -I https://setupanalytics.com/ from a terminal.

The only cookies this site can set are those WordPress assigns to signed-in administrators (session, comment-author convenience, screen-options state). Those cookies are first-party, transactional, and never reach a public reader.

Analytics

The site does not run Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager (despite the editorial subject matter), Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, or any other third-party analytics or session-replay tool. Internal traffic numbers come from server access logs aggregated by the operator; nothing is shipped to a third-party platform.

Advertising and affiliates

No display advertising. No native advertising. No affiliate links. No sponsored content. The trust strip on the homepage is a contractual commitment, not marketing copy. If a future change moves any of these positions, this page and the homepage trust strip will be updated together, and the change will be logged on the changelog.

Fonts and assets

Inter Variable is self-hosted. No Google Fonts, no Adobe Fonts, no third-party CDN. Images are served from the same origin. SVG diagrams are inline.

Embeds in published examples

Some atlas pages quote regulator URLs (e.g., a CNIL ruling, an EDPB guideline). These are plain links — no embedded iframes, no preloaded resources. Following the link sends you to that regulator’s site, which has its own privacy practices.

Your rights

If you are a resident of a jurisdiction covered by GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, PIPEDA, or any equivalent regime, the lawful processing this site performs is limited to what is necessary to deliver the page you requested (server logs, retained for diagnostic purposes for up to 14 days). For verification, deletion, or any other right, use the contact details on the Contact page.

What changed

This page is dated 2026-05-07. Prior to this, no public cookie notice was published because the site set no cookies; this page has been added so that downstream templates linking to /cookies/ resolve to a real document. The substantive position has not changed.

This notice is editorial. It documents what the site does — not what your site should do. For your own cookie disclosure, see Cookie banner and Cookie policy on this site.
